St. Croix RiverFest
Party with a Purpose - July 18-23, 2017
Plans are underway for Hudson's fifth RiverFest celebration.
This event includes six days of activities designed for people of all ages to celebrate life on the St. Croix River.
Several organizations and individuals have partnered to provide a variety of fun river-related activities including
- River Clean-Up - Youth Action Hudson
- Redressing of the RiverFest Mascot "Scrappy" - Phipps Center for the Arts
- Kids Concert with the "Toonies" - City of Hudson
- Bike Rodeo - River Valley Trails
- St. Croix Valley Community Band Concert directed by Kris Tjornehoj
- Civil War Encampment - Historical Society
- Kid's Fishing - Sustain Hudson
- Native American Drumming & Dance
- Prairie Walk - Carpenter Nature Center
- Critter Cruise featuring live animals with presentations by Carpenter Nature Center naturalists
- Kid's Puppet Storytime - Hudson Area Library
- Various Classes/Presentations by Carpenter Nature Center and the Phipps Center for the Arts
In celebration of the beautiful St. Croix River, these partnering organizations are commited to make RiverFest "A Party with a Purpose"!
RiverFest focuses on efforts to preserve and protect the St. Croix River's health and beauty.
