We're getting ready to ROCK THE BLOCK September 18-20 in River Falls!
Rock the Block is a multiple day project aimed at helping a neighborhood become the center of a healthy community, by partnering with community members to coordinate revitalizing improvements, and working with volunteers to make those improvements come to life.
This Rock the Block project is a collaborative effort with the Kinnickinnic River Land Trust, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Bailey Nurseries, University of Wisconsin-River Falls, Willow River Company, the Eco Village Homeowner's Association and St. Croix Valley Habitat for Humanity that is designed to improve the green spaces surrounding the Village community for all to enjoy. It will include placement of a permanent trail along the Oak Savanna on the East side of the Village, with a focus on the planting of fruit trees as well as low-maintenance native grasses and flowers - benefitting the community, the Kinnickinnic watershed, and its wildlife!
This project will mainly consist of planting, and we need plenty of hands to get it done -
