This is a FREE event to attend and a fun encounter with Trumpeter Swans wintering at the Hudson waterfront!

You are invited to gather at the Hudson Area Public Library at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 15, 2020. Please come dressed for the weather. Don't forget to bring your camera to capture this beautiful display! After viewing a short DVD indoors about the comeback of these big, beautiful, loud birds, we will walk across First Street and north along the river path to the swans gathering area near St. Croix Street. Our leader is Margaret Smith, Executive Director of the national Trumpeter Swan Society. Hudson has one of the largest accessible winter gathering locations of Trumpeters in the Midwest. Nature photographers come from all over the U.S. to view these waterfowl on the St. Croix River.
